Companies are
now turning to character education as a method
of managing in-house theft. Many businesses suffer
substantial losses due to theft committed by
employees. What's more, stealing can occur in
ways most people do not even realize. The
Internet, for instance, has created an
opportunity for staff to take numerous,
unscheduled "breaks" to the detriment of not
only employee performance, but also to a growing
number of employer/employee conflicts.
When
values are misplaced and negative attitudes toward
employment are freely spoken, employees can easily find
themselves justifying their actions. The Peaceful
Solution Character Education Employee Training Program
addresses positive moral character as something to be
desired and ultimately cherished.
The
need for character education stems from the simple fact that
we take our character wherever we go. From home to school
and on to the work setting, character is built on values and
principles, which have been molded or shaped by the
influences around us. As important as character is, we have
found that it is one of the least developed aspects of
education.
